The Heart of the AR-15

Design inspired by the bolt head from the AR-15 rifle – a selective-fire, direct-impingement gas operated, magazine-fed rifle with a rotating bolt and straight-line recoil design. The design would be adopted by the US military as the M16 in 1964. The bolt head is an iconic symbol recognizable by firearm owners.
